Sharon Ann Wright, 51, of Chesterton, died Wednesday in the intensive care unit at Porter Memorial Hospital in Valparaiso.

She was born in Chesterton on June 22, 1937. Her parents were Wilbur and Dorothy (Clem) Wright. She was a life-long area resident. She was affiliated with the Porter County Association for Retarded Citizens. She belonged to St. Paul Lutheran Church, 106E County Road 1100 North.

She is survived by brothers Robert of Chesterton, Roscoe of Logansport, Larry (wife Judy) of Chesterton, and Rick of Chesterton; sisters Patricia Smith (husband Brian) of Campbell, Calif.., Diane Krause (husband David) of Chesterton, Janice Miller (husband Julian) of Fredericksburg, Va.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Jack, and sister, Shirley.

A funeral service is set for 11 a.m. on Saturday at the church. The Rev. Robert Duncan will preside. Burial will be at Swan Lake Memorial Gardens in Michigan City. Friends may call at the Edmonds and Evans Funeral home, 517 Broadway, Chesterton, from 2 to 9 p.m. on Friday.
