Patricia Zane service Tuesday

Porter resident Patricia M. Zane, 65, died at 2:45 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 11, 1997 at Porter Memorial Hospital in Valparaiso.

A funeral service, to be led by Rev. Father Lawrence Heeg, will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 14, at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Chesterton.

Interment will follow at the Chesterton Cemetery.

Visitation is scheduled from 4-8 p.m. today at the Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home, 517 Broadway in Chesterton.

The deceased was born on May 9, 1931 in Jackson Township to Alexander Beschinski and Josephine Tanski, the latter of whom survives.

On Sept. 16, 1950 in Chesterton she married Charles Zane, who survives in Porter.

Zane was a lifelong area resident, homemaker and member of St. Patrick Catholic Church.

In addition to her husband and father, she is survived by two sons, Charles Zane, Jr. and Shawn Zane, both of Porter; four sisters, Donna (Kenneth) Westergren of Chesterton, Evelyn (John) Sobieski of Michigan City, Barbara (William) Mullin of Valparaiso and Marcia Nowatzke of Michigan City; and two grandchildren David Charles and Steven Alec Zane, both of Porter.

The family asks that memorial contributions be made to the building fund at St. Patrick Catholic Church or The Salvation Army.
