Oakley Rintz dies at 82

Oakley Rintz of Sun City West, Arizona, formerly of Chesterton, died at 6 p.m. March 17, 2005 in Sun City West, Arizona. He was 82.

He ws the son of Joseph and Vernie (Putchaven) Rintz of Chesterton.

He was married to Arlene (Erickson) Rintz, who survives in Sun City West. She too grew up in Chesterton. They had just celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary.

He was retired from U.S Steel Gary Works and from Sawyer Transport. He was employed for 25 years at the Sun Dome in Sun City West and organized the Astronomy Club there.

Oakley's body iks being donated to Science Care.

A memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. April 14 at Lord of Life Lutheran Church, 13724 W. Meeker Blvd., Sun City West, Ariz. 85375.
