Marjorie Schilla dies today

Funeral services will be Monday for Marjorie Schilla, 55, 402 S. 14th St., who died today in Porter Memorial Hospital after a lengthy illness.

Services will be Monday, at 11 a.m. in Carl Edmonds Funeral Home with the Rev Father Gerald Schweltzer officiating and burial will be in Highland cemetery, South Bend. Friends may call at Carl Edmonds Funeral Home between 7 and 9 p.m. Sunday.

A resident here 40 years, coming from South Bend, where she was born, Aug. 18, 1925, the daughter of Roscoe and Marie (Rintz) Clem. She married Leonard (Bud) Schilla, who survives as does her mother, who lives in Valparaiso.

Also surviving are one son, Ross, at home, two daughters Cheryl Penwell of Chesterton and Debbie Dean of Portage, two brothers, Durwood and Delbert Clem, both of Chesterton, four sisters, Dorothy Wright, Betty Schultz, Darlene Hart, and Dolly Coppes, all of Chesterton, seven grandchildren and on great grandchild.
