Former local resident Jeannette Myers, 79 died Sunday, April 26, 1992, at her home in South Bend.

She was born in Chesterton on July 9, 1912 to Theodore and Mable (Anderson) Stephens. She graduated from Chesterton High School in 1931. She married Jack Myers in Chesterton on Sept. 16, 1934.

Survivors include sons David Myers (wife Phyllis) of Punta Gorda, Fla., James Myers (Peggy) of South Bend; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sisters Marian Shultz (Robert) of Rockton, Ill., Ruth Kosmatka of Chesterton, Lois Hellman (Earl) of Free Soil, Mich.; brothers Kenneth Stephens (Phyllis) of Chesterton, Robert Stephens (Mildred) of Chesterton.

A service is set for 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Welshimer Funeral Home of South Bend. Friends may call at the funeral home prior to the service. Burial is to be in South Bend.
