Francis Ray Wiesemann services set

Francis Ray Wiesemann, of Porter, died Friday, February 9, 2001 at Porter memorial Hospital in Valparaiso. He was 85.

He was born August 29, 1915 in Burdick, Ind., the son of William F. and Ethel M. (Morris) Wiesemann, who preceded him in death.

He was also preceded in death by his first wife Easter (Hock) Wiesemann in March 1955 and his second wife Marian (Zane) Wiesemann on August 1987.

He is survived by three daughters, Kathleen Coslet and Sharon (Kenneth) Gumz, both of Porter and Cindy (Ronald) Schroeder, of Michigan City; five sisters, Laura Wiesemann, Betty Wiesemann and Winifred Cota, all of Chesterton, Fannie Erickson, of Ariz. and Burns Harbor, and Deloris Kaletha, of Fla. and Chesterton; eight grandchilren and 12 great-grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by a brother, Alfred Wiesemann, in June 1994; a daughter, Camilla and great grandson, Mark Orsolini.

He was former Town Marshal of Porter, Citizen of the Year in Porter in 1990, a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Chesterton, member of the F.O.P. Lake Michigan Lodge #116, member of Westchester Horseshoe League for 25 years and worked part-time at the Porter Parks for nine years.

Funeral services, Vicar Scott A. Ramey, officiating, is scheduled at 11 a.m. Wednesday, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Chesterton. Interment at St. Patrick Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. at White Love Funeral Home, 525 S. Second St. Memorials may be sent to St. Paul Lutheran Church.
