Elsie Draper rites Tuesday
Funeral services are Tuesday for Mrs. Elsie Draper, 70, Furnessville, who died Saturday at 3:30 p.m. in Osteopathic hospital, South Bend.
Services will be at 2 p.m. t the Johnson Cole funeral home with the Rev. John V. Strom, pastor of Bethlehem Lutheran church officiating, and burial will follow in Chesterton cemetery. Order of Eastern Star No. 74 will conduct services at 7:30 p.m. tonight at the funeral home. Friends may call after 3 p.m. today until 1:30 p.m. Tuesday.
She was born Feb. 25, 1892 in Chicago, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Wortman. In Chicago in 1921, she was married to Edward Draper, who survives.
Mrs. Draper lived here for 31 years and was a practical nurse much of that time. She was a member of the Bethlehem Lutheran church and the Order of Eastern Star.
Besides her husband, she is survived by a son Marvin Draper of Chesterton; a sister, Mrs. Martha Myers of Milwaukee, Wis.; a brother, Arthur Wortman of Chicago; and two grandchildren, Rodney and Vivian, at home.
