Elmer Anderson dies in Missouri

Elmer Anderson, formerly of Chesterton, died last night in Kimberling, Mo., at the age of 99. He was the brother of Mrs. Mabel Stephens of Chesterton who is 90 years old.

Services will be Saturday at the Doty Funeral home, 115th st. just west of Cottage Grove ave., Chicago, where friends may call tomorrow evening. Burial will be in Cedar Park cemetery.

Mr. Anderson was born in Sweden, Dec. 17, 1877, and was brought to Chesterton as a two-year old. He was a machinist by trade. His wife, the former Mary Wendt of Michigan City preceded him in death.

Mrs. Stephens mentioned the Elmer was one of the few who graduated from a 2-year course at Chesterton High School.

Surviving besides his sister here are two daughters, Mrs. Irene Matthews of Chicago and Mrs. Helen Connally in Florida, a son Elmer, Jr. with whom he lived in Kimberling, and many grandchildren and great grand-children
